Ester’s Corned Beef recipe

 

For lovely, juicy, moist corned beef, instead of vinegar in the cooking water add a cup of claret and be careful to have the meat covered with liquid.

 

Also add a tablespoon of raw sugar, a stick of celery and a carrot. Cook until tender. Allow the meat to cool in the liquid and when cool, discard liquid and veggies.
